Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Neonlight Studio collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our service at neonlight.studio.
1. Who we are
Neonlight Studio is a software-as-a-service product operated by Midnight RGB Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”). We help independent creators run faceless YouTube channels using AI-generated scripts, thumbnails, metadata and video assembly.
For privacy or data questions, email support@neonlight.studio.
2. Information we collect
We collect only the information necessary to operate Neonlight Studio:
- Account information — your name, email address and profile image, obtained when you sign in with Google.
- YouTube channel metadata — the public name, ID and thumbnail of YouTube channels you explicitly connect to your account. We obtain this via the YouTube Data API v3 and only with the
youtube.readonlyandyoutube.uploadOAuth scopes. - Generated content — the scripts, thumbnails, metadata and video files you generate through the service.
- Billing information — subscription status, plan, and Stripe customer identifier. Payment card details are collected and stored by Stripe, not by us.
- Usage information — standard server logs (IP address, request paths, timestamps) for debugging and abuse prevention. These logs are rotated and not correlated to individual users.
3. How we use YouTube API data
Neonlight Studio’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically, we:
- Use YouTube API data only to list your own channels and to upload videos that you have explicitly approved in our dashboard.
- Do not sell, transfer, or otherwise share YouTube API data with third parties for advertising, resale, or data brokerage.
- Do not use YouTube API data to train machine learning models.
- Do not read, access, or store video comments, viewer identities, or private channel data beyond what is required to complete an upload you have approved.
You can revoke Neonlight Studio’s access to your YouTube account at any time via your Google Account permissions page. Once revoked, we will no longer be able to access your YouTube data.
4. How we use AI providers
To generate scripts, thumbnails, metadata and videos, Neonlight Studio sends prompts to third-party AI providers including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google (Gemini), xAI, Replicate and HeyGen. We send only the content needed for the request you initiate (a niche, a topic, a script outline). We do not send your YouTube channel tokens, billing data, or identifying account information to these providers.
5. Data storage
Your account, subscription state and generated content metadata are stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL). Rendered video files are stored in Cloudflare R2. OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest. We retain data only as long as your account is active; generated videos in pending or approved state are retained for up to 30 days before cleanup.
6. Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Export or download any content you have generated.
- Delete your account and all associated data by emailing support@neonlight.studio.
- Revoke YouTube OAuth access from your Google account.
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
7. Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies for authentication (the NextAuth session cookie) and theme preference. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
8. Changes to this policy
If we materially change how we collect or use data, we will update this page and email active subscribers. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
